Ordering process
Your order is an offer to buy. We’ll email a confirmation; acceptance occurs when we send this confirmation or confirm to you at The Engraving Van for in-person service. We may reject orders (see reasons for cancellation in following paragraphs).
Prices & payment
Prices include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown at checkout. We take payment via our payment provider. If we find a pricing error after you order, we’ll give you the option to reconfirm at the correct price or to cancel for a full refund.
For all our engraving services.
It is your (the customer) responsibility to check that your spelling, spacing, capital and lowercase letters and artwork uploads within your order are correct. What you type on your order is what will be engraved. Also, please ensure that you have read and applied our design guidelines, as refunds cannot be issued for any other errors you might make in your personalised design. If you notice a mistake in your order, please contact us as soon as possible, and if your engraving has not been started then we will make every effort to change this for you. Final design placement of the engraving to best fit the shape of the product being engraved rests with the engraver unless you specify otherwise in the comments box within your order form. Minor variations may occur due to material characteristics.
Please see our Returns and Refunds Policy page for further information regarding Returns and Refunds.
Additional Terms For Custom and Bespoke Products and Designs.
It is your (the customer) responsibility to check that any image/artwork you have uploaded or requested to be engraved is correct and does not infringe on any copyright laws. The Engraving Van does not take any responsibility to check this for you. It is also your (the customer) responsibility to check that everything is correct within your uploaded file and to check that you have read and followed our design guidelines and our Returns, Refunds and Repairs Policy. For services where we supply a proof, work begins only after your approval.
Additional Terms For Engraving your own items/Jewellery
It is your (the customer) responsibility to check that your spelling, spacing, capital and lowercase letters within your order are correct and that any artwork designs are uploaded according to our design guidelines.
Please ensure that your engraving request does not infringe on any copyright laws. You are confirming that you own the item or have the right to authorise engraving.
Please check with us that your item is suitable for engraving on our machines, before making your order. Please do not send your piece for engraving if it does not fit within these guidelines. If we receive your piece and find it is not suitable for engraving on our machines, we will return your item to you and issue a refund of engraving fees you have paid, minus postage costs. By signing our terms and conditions you are agreeing that the item is suitable for engraving and are disclosing relevant material details (e.g.,metal type, plating, stones etc.).
Risk allocation: We handle items with care; however, engraving carries inherent risk. In the rare and unfortunate event that we damage or lose your item, or your item is stolen, our liability is limited to the repair or replacement or reimbursement at a cost of up to the maximum of the declared replacement value stated when placing your order only.
